Donald Trump Jr. showed up at the New York courtroom this Monday with all the confidence and charisma of his father. As a defense witness in the civil fraud trial against his dad and the family business, Donald Jr. wasted no time in defending his father’s reputation as a skilled real estate developer. He even went as far as describing his father as an “artist” with a Midas touch, suggesting that everything he touches turns to gold.
It’s no surprise that Donald Jr. came prepared to support his family’s defense. Attorney general Letitia James, a Democrat, has been relentless in portraying his father as a con man who fraudulently inflated asset values for personal gain. But Donald Jr. was quick to refute those claims, using a slideshow presentation to illustrate his father’s creative “genius” and “vision” when it comes to real estate. Clearly, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

What’s interesting is how Don Jr. did not hold back in expressing his frustration with the opposing side. He opened his testimony with a joke, playfully acknowledging the absurdity of the situation. But his humor was balanced with a touch of indignation. He criticized the “overzealous” prosecutor to reporters outside and took “umbrage” at the judge’s assessment of the value of Mar-A-Lago, the family’s famous estate. It’s clear that Don Jr. is a force to be reckoned with in and out of the courtroom.
The media loves to portray the Trump family in a negative light, but it’s refreshing to see Don Jr. boldly defend his father’s integrity. This trial will surely test the family’s resilience, but one thing is for certain: they are not holding back. The prosecution may think they’ve got a strong case, but with the Trumps fighting tooth and nail, the outcome remains uncertain. Let’s hope justice is served and the truth prevails.
