The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, persisted in defending his criticism of Florida's Ron DeSantis.
On Friday, Newsom stated in a video posted to Twitter that he was currently fighting against what he called DeSantis' harassment. The California Democrat discussed what the Florida Republican stated about Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The red states that have pro-life laws and uphold them, like Florida and Texas, were subsequently chastised by Newsom. He added that California is still an abortion-supporting state in the video.

I dislike DeSantis because of the way he spoke about Fauci "stated Newsom. "You can disagree with people. They are bullies. When I talk like that, my mom used to wash my mouth out with soap. I don’t like what’s happening. Threatening people if they come to California for Reproductive Rights in States like Texas placing bounties, it’s a serious moment in American history. So why I’m doing those ads? It’s because I can’t take it. I gotta sleep at night.”
