In their latest shameless display of left-wing bias, America’s corporate media stooges have once again shown their contempt for former President Donald Trump while coddling President Joe Biden’s countless blunders. The legacy media’s coverage of Trump’s playful remarks has once again proven their lack of journalistic responsibility and their relentless attack on a conservative leader.
During a town hall in Davenport, Iowa, Fox News host Sean Hannity pointedly asked Trump if he would abuse power as retribution against anybody, to which Trump facetiously replied, “Except for Day One. I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill.” Hannity correctly noted that securing the border and making the United States energy-independent are not acts of retribution, but rather part of Trump’s “America First” agenda.

However, the establishment media predictably twisted Trump’s lighthearted comment into dire threats of dictatorship. CNN, CNBC, and the Associated Press all ran sensationalized headlines, misrepresenting Trump’s joke as a serious declaration of abusive power. This biased coverage is a clear example of the media’s hostility towards conservatives and their lack of objectivity.
It’s obvious to see that Trump’s remarks were in jest, especially considering the benign nature of his proposed actions on “Day One.” But this is just par for the course for the legacy media, who consistently employ a double standard when it comes to holding political figures accountable.
As we approach the 2024 election cycle, it’s crucial to remember the stakes at hand. Under Biden’s presidency, the United States has experienced crippling inflation, surging crime rates, ongoing border crises, and escalating global conflicts. The media’s fawning over Biden’s failures while misrepresenting Trump’s harmless jests is a disservice to the American people.
