"Potential Links Between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Origin of the COVID-19 Pandemic," the study on where COVID-19 came from, was finally made public on Friday evening by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). People have been waiting a long time for the report, and the fact that it hasn't come out yet has made many worried Americans wonder what the government is hiding. But the study backs up what many conservatives have known for a long time: the coronavirus pandemic was caused by the Wuhan lab in China.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic put out a joint statement when they got the report. It shows that Republicans on HPSCI and SSCP have been trying for years to get this information out there. The statement also shows how hard Republicans have worked to show that the coronavirus was not a natural occurrence and how secret information shows that a lab leak is likely. Republicans will keep looking into where COVID-19 came from, and the facts they found today will help them with that.
The ODNI study finally backs up what conservative news sites like RedState have been saying for years. The Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese People's Liberation Army have a lot to explain, and it's about time they did. Even though the declassified report is a good step toward full transparency, the Government Accountability Office report shows that U.S. tax dollars have been used to pay Chinese organizations that are known to be doing study on coronaviruses. We respect the report from the ODNI, but more needs to be done to confirm all the evidence and learn more about where COVID-19 came from.
Even though the mainstream media and liberal lawmakers are pushing the idea that the coronavirus came from nature, it is clear that the lab leak theory is the most likely explanation. RedState was one of the first news sites to look into where COVID-19 came from. In September 2019, for example, a new "Lancet" letter said there was no direct proof that the coronavirus came from nature. It's time for the truth to win, even if it goes against what the left says.
In the end, the ODNI report proves what conservatives have known all along: the coronavirus outbreak probably started in a lab in Wuhan, China, where they study viruses. Even though the declassified report is a good step toward openness, more needs to be done to confirm all the proof and find out where COVID-19 came from. The Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese People's Liberation Army need to explain what they have done and take credit for what they have done. Lastly, it's clear that RedState was right the whole time, and liberal leaders and the mainstream media should take note.
