In a shocking twist of hypocrisy, the Democrats are now criminalizing the act of questioning election results, something they themselves have done repeatedly in the past. It seems that history has conveniently forgotten the vehement denial of Trump’s victory in 2016, with leading Democrats like Hillary Clinton concocting an elaborate hoax to discredit the outcome. Yet now, they have the audacity to label anyone who questions the 2020 election as criminals.

Clinton, a master of denial, went as far as calling Trump “illegitimate” and perpetuated the baseless collusion narrative that received constant coverage in the national media. Democrats like Adam Schiff (D-Ca.) fueled the fire, with Biden himself agreeing that Trump was illegitimately elected. This election denial has become a tradition for Democrats, stretching back to the Bush v. Gore debacle in 2000 and 2004.

But now, after the 2020 election, Democrats have decided that being an “election denier” is a criminal offense. They are actively attempting to imprison the opposition candidate, President Trump, for daring to question the close election results. Let’s not forget that Biden’s victory was decided by a mere 50,000 votes in a few swing states, a margin that is certainly cause for reasonable doubt, especially considering the unprecedented number of mail-in ballots.
In Georgia, where Trump is accused of pursuing a “criminal enterprise” to change the result, the margin was an even slimmer 10,000 votes. The Democrats have gone so far as to label Trump’s lawyers and alternate electors as “co-conspirators” and “fake electors,” seeking to undermine their legitimate claims of victory for Trump.
But the double standards are blatantly obvious. While Trump faces federal election indictments for allegedly “lying” about the election results, there are no consequences for Clinton, who orchestrated a disinformation campaign that successfully derailed the Trump presidency. She has no concern for the rules applying to her, gloating about the Trump prosecutions and claiming that the “system is working” in her favor.
It is clear that the Democrats’ true goal is to silence the truth and undermine democracy. They are desperately trying to paint anyone who questions the integrity of the election as a criminal, while conveniently ignoring their own history of denial and deception. It is a dangerous path they are treading, eroding the fundamental principles of democracy and free speech in the process.
