In a powerful and emotional testimony before Congress, detransitioner Chloe Cole shared her heartbreaking story of how so-called “gender-affirming” care ruined her childhood and left her with lasting negative consequences. This brave young woman is shining a light on one of the biggest medical scandals in U.S. history.
Cole criticized the medical establishment for affirming her belief that she was born in the wrong body when she was just a teenager. She stressed that it is wrong to tell children as young as 12 years old that they can reject their own bodies and choose their own puberty. Puberty is a natural part of life and should not be treated as an illness.

Cole’s testimony revealed the permanent changes to her body as a result of the treatments she received, including a deeper voice, a masculinized bone structure, and the loss of her ability to breastfeed. These irreversible consequences have devastated her life and she hopes that her story will prevent other vulnerable teenagers from going through the same ordeal.
It is truly outrageous that minors are being allowed to undergo such extreme procedures in the name of progressive ideology. The “gender-affirming” care movement for minors must be stopped to prevent further harm. Cole’s courage in speaking out against this scandal is commendable, and it is likely that more voices will join her as the devastating results continue to be exposed.
