GOP Targets CCP’s Dark Grip on US Soil

A group of fifty senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives have had enough of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) shenanigans. Led by the stellar Senator Joni Ernst from the great state of Iowa, these patriotic Republicans have sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding answers about the CCP’s possible ties to illegal marijuana operations across the United States. And let me tell you, folks, these lawmakers mean business!

According to the letter obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the lawmakers want Garland to spill the beans on what the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been doing to tackle this pressing issue. They also want to know just how many of these illegal grow operations can be connected back to the CCP. And this isn’t some small-time problem, folks. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has already identified a whopping 270 suspected Chinese illegal marijuana grows in Maine alone. Can you believe it?

Now, this isn’t just about marijuana. Oh no! It’s about something much bigger. These illegal grow operations are often involved in more nefarious activities like human trafficking, drug trafficking, and even violent crime. And where do these farms operate? Well, it seems they like to set up shop in states with legal marijuana programs, hoping to hide in plain sight amongst law-abiding Americans. Sneaky, sneaky CCP!

The lawmakers pointed out that these thousands of illicit Chinese marijuana farms pose a direct threat to public safety, human rights, national security, and the addiction crisis that is plaguing our nation. They are not mincing words, folks. And rightfully so! It’s high time (no pun intended) that the DOJ takes action to shut down this criminal enterprise.

But it’s not just Maine that’s dealing with this problem. California’s Siskiyou County has also been infiltrated by both illegal and legal immigrants from China. These grow sites are popping up all over the place, and it’s clear that the Chinese nationals involved have some unsettling connections. In fact, a federal law enforcement source spilled the beans and revealed that these illicit operations likely involve Mexican cartels as well. Talk about a dangerous cocktail of criminals.

And if you needed any more evidence of just how bad this is, consider the fact that there were over 5,000 encounters with Chinese migrants crossing the southern border illegally in December alone. That’s more than the total for fiscal years 2021 and 2022 combined, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. It’s a real crisis, folks, and it’s time we address it head-on.

So, kudos to Senator Joni Ernst and the other Republican lawmakers who are shining a spotlight on this issue. It’s time for the DOJ to take action and put an end to these illicit Chinese marijuana farms. We can’t let the CCP continue to profit off of criminal activities and jeopardize the safety and security of our great nation. Stay vigilant, America!
