Isra Hirsi, daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), continues to complain about her experience during the Columbia protests, where she was arrested and suspended from school. Despite being seen as a protester, she now paints herself and her fellow activists as victims on national television. This victim mentality is a typical tactic of the radical left, always looking for sympathy instead of taking accountability for their actions.

Hirsi’s claim of being sprayed with “chemical weapons” is now being debunked, as it turns out the substance used was just a harmless prank spray bought on Amazon. Her attempt to dramatize the situation only shows how far the left will go to gain sympathy and manipulate the narrative. It’s a stark example of the leftist agenda to exaggerate and deceive to push their political goals.
The fact that Hirsi fails to address the violence, anti-semitism, and harassment faced by Jewish students during the protests is telling. Instead of acknowledging the harm caused to others, she dismisses these concerns and glorifies the protests as a form of “solidarity.” This displays a lack of empathy and understanding of the consequences of their actions on the broader campus community.
Hirsi’s demands for Columbia University to divest from certain companies and grant amnesty to protesting students reveal a sense of entitlement and disregard for the rule of law. Demanding special treatment for those involved in disruptive and unlawful behavior sets a dangerous precedent. It shows a lack of respect for authority and institutions, promoting chaos over dialogue and cooperation.
