Musk Supports Ron DeSantis in 2024

In response to a question from a user on Twitter, Elon Musk said that he would vote for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis if he decides to challenge President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination for the White House in 2024.

In response to another user, the Tesla and Twitter CEO stated that he was a big supporter of the Barack Obama administration. However, he said that he eventually decided to vote for Joe Biden over Trump in 2020.

He said that he would prefer to see a moderate and sensible candidate for the presidency in 2024. He had hoped that the Biden administration would be able to bring a more balanced approach to the country.

In June, Musk had indicated that he was leaning toward supporting DeSantis for the Republican nomination for president in 2024. He made the comment after a user asked him who he would most likely support. He prefaced his statement by saying that it was still unclear whether he would vote for the Republicans.

Musk was also asked about his decision to reinstate the accounts of some prominent individuals on Twitter, such as Trump. Since his account was restored, the president has not posted on it.

Trump's Twitter account was temporarily suspended after the violent confrontation that occurred at the Capitol on January 6. The former president has since said that he prefers to use his private platform instead.

Elon Musk stated that he was fine with Trump not using Twitter. However, he said that the company had made a mistake in banning the president's account. He added that the president did not violate the terms of service or the law.
