Nike has just announced that it will be sponsoring the “Queer Youth Field Day” event that is set to take place on Saturday for participants between the ages of 13 and 25 in Memphis, Tennessee. The event is being co-hosted by OutMemphis, an LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization, and it is aimed at all LGBTQ-identifying youth and their allies, according to the registration website. The event, which is intended to be completely free of charge, includes a variety of activities such as bouncy houses, face-painting, tug-of-war, tie-dying, friendship bracelets, and games, according to the flyer.

Despite last year’s postponement of the event due to a venue issue, the organizers of the “Queer Youth Field Day” made an announcement on their website, assuring their supporters that the event is “back and bigger than ever” this year. Attendees are required to pre-register for the event to ensure the safety and security of the group, according to the page’s Facebook post.
However, critics of the event are questioning both Nike’s involvement in the event, and the agenda of the OutMemphis organization. Nike recently received backlash after partnering with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, who advertised the company’s Zenvy leggings and Alate sports bras in an Instagram post that identified Mulvaney as a “paid partner.” Some conservative groups have accused Nike of caving in to the left’s radical agenda and promoting the transgender movement, and are now questioning the company’s decision to support the OutMemphis organization.
The event has sparked a lot of controversy among conservative groups and politicians, who claim that it is another example of the left trying to infiltrate the minds of America’s youth with their radical viewpoints. While it is unclear how many participants will attend the event, one thing is for sure: it will continue to receive harsh criticism and scrutiny from those who believe that the event’s true goal is to normalize the LGBTQ lifestyle and indoctrinate America’s youth.
