Rep. Loudermilk Seeks Cassidy Hutchinson’s Jan 6 Docs and Book Info

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) has reached out to Cassidy Hutchinson, a key witness for the Jan. 6 committee, requesting information about her communications with various individuals tied to the events of January 6 and her book deal. Loudermilk wants to ensure that all relevant documents are available for the committee’s investigation and to understand their findings. He expressed gratitude for Hutchinson’s cooperation in the oversight matter to safeguard the U.S. Capitol Building and its occupants.

Hutchinson, who previously served as an assistant to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, testified about an incident involving former President Trump and Secret Service agents. Loudermilk is seeking communication records related to her book, “Enough,” which focuses on the events of January 6. The congressman’s interest in Hutchinson’s book deal and related compensation is part of his effort to gather comprehensive information for the committee’s inquiry.

The Washington Examiner reached out to Hutchinson’s legal counsel, William H. Jordan, but did not receive a response. In a previous communication with Loudermilk, Jordan emphasized Hutchinson’s commitment to telling the truth and her willingness to cooperate with the committee’s investigation. Jordan also underscored Hutchinson’s resolve to resist any attempts to influence her testimony, particularly in light of ongoing criminal proceedings related to the events of January 6.

Loudermilk’s correspondence to Hutchinson is a continuation of his efforts to ensure that the Jan. 6 committee has access to all relevant information. This aligns with the Republican-led committee’s goal of conducting a thorough and transparent investigation into the events of January 6.
