In a shocking and outrageous ruling, the left-wing activist Colorado Supreme Court has disqualified former President Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 ballot. This absurd decision, which claims that Trump engaged in an “insurrection” on January 6, 2021, is a clear attack on democracy, according to left-wing independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Kennedy expressed his horror at the court’s decision, comparing it to the actions of a banana republic. In a social media post, he criticized the court, stating, “Trump blocked from the ballot in Colorado. Kennedy, who is not a Trump supporter but believes in fair elections, emphasized that the voters should have the ultimate say in choosing their leader, not the courts. He condemned the decision as an infringement on Trump’s rights and warned that if Trump is kept out of office through judicial fiat instead of a fair election, his supporters will never accept the result.
The Colorado Republican Party also expressed outrage at the court’s ruling, going so far as to threaten to withdraw from the state primaries if the decision stands. GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy echoed this sentiment, calling the ruling an “actual attack on democracy.” Ramaswamy pledged to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is allowed to be on the state’s ballot, highlighting the serious consequences this decision could have for the country.
It is important to note that the four justices who voted to bar Trump from the state ballot are political appointees, appealing to the far left. Kennedy and Ramaswamy are not alone in their criticism of these justices, as their backgrounds and potential biases have come under scrutiny. Justice Richard L. Gabriel, Justice William W. Hood III, Justice Melissa Hart, and Justice Monica Márquez all have questionable pasts, raising concerns about their impartiality.
This ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court is a dangerous and partisan attack on the democratic process. It sets a troubling precedent and raises serious doubts about the integrity of our elections. It is imperative that the court reverses this decision and allows the voters to decide the outcome, as Kennedy and Ramaswamy rightfully argue. Only then can we truly uphold the principles of democracy.
