Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has revealed a disturbing trend of illegal immigrants being able to slip past law enforcement under the Biden administration. Despite claiming to be working to secure the U.S.-Mexico border, the number of got-aways has skyrocketed since Joe Biden took office.

In January 2021, there were 9,531 got-aways nationwide, but by December of the same year, that number had surged to a staggering 72,102. The situation at the border has become so chaotic that Border Patrol agents are now bogged down with large groups of hundreds of illegal immigrants who purposely turn themselves in, so they can be processed and released.

It has become a common tactic of Mexican cartels to flood the border with such large groups, effectively tying up law enforcement and allowing them to smuggle in even more people who do not want to be caught. With more and more illegal immigrants slipping past the border every day, it is clear that the Biden administration has failed to secure the nation’s borders.
The got-away trend is not limited to the southern border either. The U.S.-Canada border and the coastal borders in Florida and Puerto Rico are also reporting an increase in encounters. Joe Biden may talk a big game when it comes to securing the borders, but his administration’s ineffectiveness is undoubtedly causing a surge of illegal immigration across the country.
It’s time for Joe Biden to step up and protect the sovereignty of our nation. Americans deserve to feel safe and secure in their own homes, and they deserve leaders who will prioritize their safety over political showboating. The got-away numbers don’t lie, and neither should our politicians.
