Speaker Mike Johnson Slams Biden’s Trump-Blaming for Border Issues!

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) strongly criticized President Joe Biden’s speech on the border crisis, calling it “offensive” in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News. Johnson argued that the border situation changed dramatically when Biden took office and accused the president and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of orchestrating the crisis. He also pointed out that Biden’s approval ratings have been low, with only 18 percent of Americans approving of his handling of the border. Johnson found it laughable that Biden would try to blame Republicans for a problem they did not create and said it was time for the president to take responsibility.

Johnson’s criticism came after he helped derail a Senate funding package that included aid for Ukraine and Israel. He deemed the package “dead on arrival” and worse than expected. Republicans threatened to filibuster the bill, leading Democrats to abandon it. In response to the Senate bill collapse, Biden blamed Trump and “MAGA Republicans” for the failure. Johnson disagreed with Biden’s criticism and highlighted his efforts to hold the president accountable. He also noted that both Biden and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre acknowledged that the president has the executive authority to address the border crisis, but he refuses to act.

Johnson argued that Biden purposely created the border crisis from day one of his presidency. He listed several executive actions that Biden took, which he believes undermined border security and encouraged illegal immigration. According to Johnson, Biden’s decision to halt border wall construction, ban deportations, and roll back Trump-era policies were intentional and resulted in the current catastrophe. Johnson emphasized that the crisis was created entirely by Biden and his administration.

Looking ahead, Johnson expects the 2024 presidential election to be a referendum on border security and national security in general. He believes that Biden’s weak stance on the world stage has emboldened America’s adversaries, leading to dangerous conflicts worldwide. Johnson concluded by saying that he and House Republicans will continue to fight to hold the Biden administration accountable, including pushing for the impeachment of Secretary Mayorkas, whom he deems the worst cabinet secretary in American history.
