Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif) has made a surprising proposal to remove conservative news outlets from military bases. In an interview on MSNBC, he recommended that Fox News be prohibited from all military bases due to its alleged spread of disinformation regarding Dominion voting systems, while networks like CNN and MSNBC should be considered acceptable sources of information.
"Nothing makes [our troops] feel more like home than their access to American television programming, and a popular channel is Fox News," says Democrat Eric Swalwell.

Swalwell acknowledged that this may not be a popular decision, but he believes it is necessary to ensure that American troops are not exposed to harmful propaganda. He stated, “I don't want to start telling soldiers what they can and can't watch. But if a court rules that a news station is spreading false and misleading information during its evening hour, I don't know if I agree with VoteVets, which said that we need to look into how this information is being sent to our troops.”
FOX hosts' election lies and disinformation splits the ranks, hurts unit cohesion, and weakens America's national defense. They must be removed from all TVs on military installations NOW.

Eric Swalwell Wants to Ban Conservative News From the Military
https://t.co/NXlEogY25Q— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) March 12, 2023
This action follows a request by VoteVets, a left-wing political action committee, to remove Fox News from all military bases. Swalwell supported this proposal and indicated that the possibility of Congressional oversight would be sufficient to compel Fox News to improve its practices.
There have been allegations that some hosts on Fox News have propagated the notion that Dominion played a role in the 2020 presidential election. Moreover, Democrats and the liberal media are upset that Tucker Carlson, a Fox News host, was granted exclusive access to footage of the Capitol Hill protests on January 6.
It is clear that leftist politicians like Swalwell are determined to silence conservative voices at every turn. It is a shame that they are willing to sacrifice the First Amendment rights of our troops to do so. Our military deserves access to all forms of news and should not be censored for political purposes. The real disinformation campaign is being waged by the Left, and it is up to us to stand up for the truth.
