He said that the new committee would be composed of people with diverse viewpoints. He also noted that no significant changes would be made to the platform's content at this time.
It's not yet clear if Musk will be able to overrule the committee. During Friday's news, various misinformation about the new committee and the platform's content appeared on Twitter.
Right-wing users claimed that their accounts were suddenly returned to their previous state, while erroneous reports about Kanye West's account were posted by media outlets.
