As a Republican, I believe in fiscal responsibility and limited government intervention, so this bill is a slap in the face to those values.

Gun Owners of America are calling out both Republican and Democrat leaders for allowing this unconstitutional overreach to happen. They point out how the funding bill allocates money for research on gun confiscation and even a “firearm retirement” age for seniors. This is absurd! Our tax dollars should not be funding studies that undermine our rights as law-abiding citizens.

The bill also includes provisions like prohibiting HHS from restricting Second Amendment freedoms during a public health emergency and allowing concealed carry reciprocity in Washington D.C.
