President Joe Biden’s appearance at the National Governors Association Winter Meeting was a total mess. The man couldn’t even get through a speech without botching historical quotes and mistaking major world leaders. It was cringeworthy, to say the least.
Elder abuse.

One of the most cringe-inducing moments was when Biden tried to quote Abraham Lincoln and ended up stumbling over his words like a kid reciting a poem in front of the class. He rambled on about “adjusting the better angels of our nature” and completely butchered the actual quote.
But wait, there’s more! The president then went on to mix up the Chinese leader Xi Jinping with Russian President Vladimir Putin, before correcting himself. He also went on to brag about traveling 17,000 miles with Xi Jinping, which turned out to be a complete fabrication. The Washington Post even called him out on this fib, giving him three Pinocchios for it.
And if that wasn’t enough, Biden seemed to forget that he was once the vice president under President Barack Obama. During his speech, he babbled about Obama telling him to get to know Xi Jinping because “he was going to be the head of Russia.” Seriously, someone needs to double-check Biden’s facts, because he’s starting to sound like a walking, talking error machine.
To top it off, as Biden wrapped up his speech, he looked around cluelessly and asked his handlers, “I’m right here?” It was like watching a lost puppy searching for its owner. And to add insult to injury, the audience practically ignored him as they turned away to focus on dinner.
The sight of the president being completely brushed off by the audience was just the cherry on top of this embarrassment. It’s a wonder anyone can take him seriously at this point.
The complete lack of respect and attention he received is a testament to the fact that people are starting to tune out from the president. And can you blame them? With performances like this, it’s no wonder people are losing confidence in the man leading the country.
