House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) did not hold back in his criticism of President Biden following the president’s cringeworthy groveling apology on MSNBC over the term “illegal.” Biden, in true form, couldn’t even pronounce the name of Laken Riley correctly, a Georgia nursing student tragically murdered by an illegal immigrant. The killer should have never been here in the first place, but Biden’s open borders policies have allowed up to ten million border crossers to roam freely in our country.

It was during the president’s erratic State of the Union speech when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene demanded he acknowledge Laken Riley’s name. Instead of focusing on the real issue of illegal immigration, Biden found himself tangled in a web of political correctness, apologizing for correctly labeling the killer illegal. The real apology should have been for his failure to secure our borders and protect American citizens.
The killer, identified as Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan national, was confirmed to have illegally crossed the border near El Paso, Texas, and was later released into the U.S. in September 2022. Despite his criminal history and brushes with law enforcement, he continued to roam the streets freely, ultimately leading to the tragic death of Laken Riley.
It is an absolute disgrace that Biden chose to prioritize semantics over the heinous crime committed by an illegal immigrant. Laken Riley’s mother has every right to be outraged by Biden’s inability to even get her daughter’s name right. Rather than show empathy for the grieving family, Biden chose to cater to his far-left base, displaying his true allegiance to woke ideology over the safety and well-being of American citizens.
House Speaker Mike Johnson hit the nail on the head in calling out Biden’s behavior as nothing short of an embarrassment. It is clear that Biden’s twisted priorities lie in pandering to his radical supporters rather than upholding the law and protecting our nation. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dire consequences of weak border policies and the importance of standing firm against illegal immigration.
