Once again, the Biden government is protecting one of their own by preventing Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss from charging Hunter Biden in Washington, D.C., and California. Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), who is in charge of the House Ways and Means Committee, said this after a closed-door executive meeting where several leak reports were looked at.

Weiss tried to file charges in both D.C. and California, but Biden's picks for U.S. attorneys, Martin Estrada and Matthew Graves, said no both times. This is a clear sign that the Biden Justice Department is meddling in the investigation of the president's son and going too far.
Two IRS whistleblowers say that the DOJ hid the tax fraud probe into Hunter Biden, which covered the years 2014 through 2019. They said that during this time, Ukraine, Romania, and China gave Hunter Biden and his "associates" about $17.3 million. It is clear that the federal government doesn't treat all taxpayers the same when it comes to tax rules. They only let a few people off the hook, like Hunter Biden.
There were also unnecessary delays in the investigation, such as figuring out if a WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden asked Chinese officials for money while his father was in the room was real. This is scary because it shows how much the Biden government is willing to hide to protect its own people.
Attorney General Merrick Garland told Congress in March, under oath, that Weiss could bring charges outside of Delaware. This shows that Garland's statement was not accurate. It's clear that the Biden administration is doing everything they can to keep Hunter Biden safe and hide this investigation.
Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to tax theft and having a gun he wasn't supposed to have on Tuesday, but he only got a slap on the wrist for his trouble. He is charged with two counts of "willful failure to pay" his federal income taxes and will sign a "pretrial diversion agreement" for having a gun "by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance." This is a mockery of justice, and it shows that the rich and powerful in this country play by a different set of rules than the rest of us.
