In a shocking turn of events, President Biden has finally come clean about his signature legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). At a fundraising event, Biden admitted that the IRA wasn’t really designed to reduce inflation as its name suggests. Well, no kidding, Mr. President!
Biden Admits the Inflation Reduction Act Was Never Really About Inflation https://t.co/ttJdNZ9fEt

“I wish I hadn’t called it that,” Biden confessed, as if it’s some kind of revelation. “It has less to do with reducing inflation than it does with providing alternatives that generate economic growth.” Wow, way to state the obvious, Mr. President. Maybe next he’ll tell us that water is wet.
Biden, at a fundraiser, expresses regret over the name of the Inflation Reduction Act: “I wish I hadn't called it that because it has less to do with reducing inflation than it does to do with dealing with providing for alternatives that generate economic growth.”

My message to Congress is this:
The Inflation Reduction Act is the strongest bill you can pass to lower inflation, reduce costs, and tackle our climate crisis.
So pass it. Pass it for the American people – and pass it for America.

Huh. Funny how inflation has come down every month since the Inflation Reduction Act passed Congress. https://t.co/SLuGzlx8Jj

This admission is a major departure from the White House’s previous stance and Biden’s own statements. They’ve been insisting all along that the IRA is an anti-inflation bill, but suddenly they’re changing their tune. It’s almost like they realized they were trying to pull a fast one on the American people.
When the legislation was being debated in the Senate, Biden himself rallied lawmakers to pass it, claiming it was “the strongest bill you can pass to lower inflation.” Well, now he’s singing a different tune. It’s clear that he’s just trying to save face after being caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Even after the bill passed, administration officials continued to spread the false narrative. They paraded around a statement from Biden that said, “Tonight, we’ve taken another critical step toward reducing inflation.” Talk about misinformation! It’s almost as if they were deliberately misleading the public. Oh wait, that’s exactly what they were doing.
The real kicker here is that the IRA’s claim to be an anti-inflation bill was crucial in getting Democrats on board. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia initially refused to support the bill, but when they rebranded it as the Inflation Reduction Act, he suddenly had a change of heart. Coincidence? I think not.
To show his gratitude, Biden even gifted Manchin the pen he used to sign the bill into law. It’s a shameless attempt to butter him up and make him feel important. But let’s not forget, this bill is anything but great for America. It’s just another example of Democrats playing politics and misleading the American people for their own gain.
So, there you have it folks. President Biden finally admitting that his so-called Inflation Reduction Act is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. We can only hope that the American people see through this charade and hold him accountable for his blatant dishonesty.
