CO GOP Champions Trump, Supremes Called to Crush Ballot Ouster!

The Colorado Republican Party doesn’t take the booting of former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential-primary ballot lying down. They’ve formally asked the U.S. Supreme Court to give the decision the boot, kicking it to the curb where it belongs!

This move means the Colorado Supreme Court ruling won’t come into effect anytime soon. In fact, the state panel had already put a freeze on its decision until Jan. 4, but this pause will be extended forever and a day until the U.S. Supreme Court decides to take up the appeal and, if it does, makes a final ruling.

Although Mr. Trump himself hasn’t personally challenged the decision yet, his campaign made it clear on the day the ruling came down that they would. The state GOP definitely has a horse in this race since it was part of the original decision as the conductor of the primary election, where the state high court was making its ruling.

The Colorado Supreme Court pulled a fast one on Dec. 19, ruling that Mr. Trump couldn’t run for president in the state because of the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment. They claimed he took part in an “insurrection,” throwing a shade at the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riots. But the Republican Party isn’t having any of it, and they’re fighting tooth and nail to make sure their guy has a fair shot at the ballot.
