Republican California state Senator Scott Wilk is sounding the alarm to all parents who care about their children’s well-being. The liberal Left has officially crossed the line with their latest push to force families to conform to woke gender ideology, or face serious consequences. Senator Wilk recently cited a new bill that would make it difficult for parents to prevent their children from transitioning to another gender. And if they refuse to comply with this radical agenda, they could be at risk of losing custody of their beloved kids.

The bill – which recently cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee on a party line vote – now declares, in its amended version, that “gender-affirming” care is necessary for a child’s “health, safety, and welfare.” For some parents who reject this bizarre “progressive” ideology, this may mean facing the devastating news that they could potentially lose custody of their children in an ongoing dispute, with allegations of child abuse also looming.

Senator Wilk expressed his disappointment with the constant intrusion of the government into families’ affairs. “I’ve been here and witnessed a full frontal assault on charter schools, taking away parents’ choice in how their children are going to be educated to the detriment particularly of children of color,” Wilk stated during the Judiciary Committee hearing.
He went on to say, “In recent years, we have put government bureaucrats between parents, children, and doctors when it comes to medical care—and now we have [AB 957] where if a parent does not support the ideology of the government, [children are] going to be taken away from the home.”
Senator Wilk has always encouraged parents to fight for their parental rights, but now, he’s advising a new strategy: flee from California and other Democrat-run states that push these liberal radical agendas. He states that he loves this state but finds it oppressive, and values his freedom to make his own decisions regarding his family’s welfare.
The Left continues to focus on divisive policies such as their LGBTQ agenda, instead of working on critical issues like securing borders or stabilizing inflation rates. The Democratic Party seems more intent on pushing their radical agenda on Americans, particularly on children, whom they call brave and view as examples for the country. Senator Wilk’s words serve as a wake-up call to all freedom-loving families to take a stand against the radical policies implemented by the Left in their communities.
