The radical pro-abortion Democrats strike again with the reintroduction of the Women’s Health Protection Act, a bill that would legalize abortion up until birth for any reason at all, including sex-selective abortion, which is a form of gender discrimination. The bill, introduced by Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA), is a desperate attempt to promote their culture of death and signals their support of the trafficking of young girls for out-of-state abortions.

But the bill’s name is a misnomer. It seems like the left is acknowledging the fact that only women can be pregnant, but a closer look at the text reveals that it is not meant to protect women at all. The bill is meant to protect all people with the capacity for pregnancy, including cisgender, transgender, non-binary, and others. This is just the Democrats’ attempt to be more “woke” than thou, and it is a complete overreach of government power.

Furthermore, Americans do not support abortion up until birth, as evidenced by a recent poll that found that seven in 10 Americans want greater limits on abortion. This is because Americans understand that abortion is not healthcare, but rather a violent act that ends the life of an innocent human being.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America has released a memo criticizing the bill’s previous version and highlighting its extreme assault on unborn children, their mothers, and the rights of parents to keep their daughters safe from exploitation. Thankfully, the bill has no hope of passing while Republicans control at least one chamber. The Democrats are profoundly out of touch with the American people on this issue, and they will be held accountable.
The Biden administration has been actively promoting abortion, including with this bill. This is not surprising, given the fact that the Democrats are obsessed with abortion and are willing to do anything to mandate a “fundamental right” to abortion nationwide. This includes expanding dangerous abortion drugs in pharmacies and by mail, blocking life-saving laws at both the state and federal level, and facilitating the trafficking of young girls for out-of-state abortions.
But the Women’s Health Protection Act will go nowhere, now that Republicans control the House. The American people have spoken, and they do not want extreme abortion policies forced upon them. It is time for the Democrats to realize this and to start promoting a culture of life instead of a culture of death.
