A heart-pounding video shared by the New York City Police Department captures officers bravely coming to the rescue of a woman in a dangerous situation. The officers from the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit were called to a massive building, where a distressed woman was found dangling on the rooftop. The department praised the ESU detectives for utilizing their rope rescue skills to save the woman, who was located 54 stories high. The officers can be seen in the video comforting the woman and ultimately bringing her to safety.

Not only did the officers save the woman’s life, but they also showed compassion and empathy towards her during the rescue. In the video, a female officer reassured the distressed woman that they were there for her, while a male officer spoke to her in a gentle tone, ensuring her safety. Although the woman’s face was blurred and her name removed from the clip, an officer can be heard announcing, “I got her!” when she was finally rescued.
