House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is not backing down when it comes to holding Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) accountable for his false statements about President Biden and his family’s business dealings. Comer has demanded an apology from Raskin for spreading disinformation and lying to the American people.
In a strongly worded letter, Comer reminded Raskin of the significant revelations that the Oversight Committee Republicans have uncovered about the Biden family’s shady dealings. Comer pointed out that while it is Raskin’s prerogative to serve his constituents and protect his friend Abbe Lowell, it is not acceptable to use the Oversight Committee as a platform for spreading false information.

Specifically, Comer called out Raskin’s comments about the FBI investigation into a bribery scheme involving Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Raskin falsely claimed that the investigation had been terminated and that there were no grounds for further investigation. However, former U.S. Attorney Scott Brady directly refuted Raskin’s claims, stating that their team did find the allegations credible and passed them on for further investigation.
Comer and the Oversight Committee Republicans are not letting Raskin off the hook. They are demanding that he correct the record and apologize to the American people for spreading disinformation. They also reminded Raskin of his responsibility as Ranking Member to be honest about the facts, even if they go against his political views. It’s time for Raskin to stop playing defense counsel for the Bidens and start speaking the truth.
