Texas Rep Harrison Rejects Federal Education Funds Amid Title IX Dispute

Texas Republican state Rep. Brian Harrison doesn’t have any of President Biden’s meddling ways when taking federal dollars for education. He appreciates the offer, but they can independently handle our affairs in Texas. In an exclusive letter obtained by the Washington Examiner, Harrison made it clear that he wants Texas to give the federal government the ol’ “Don’t mess with Texas” treatment and keep their federal education money.

Harrison is fired up about the Biden administration’s overhaul of Title IX, which now includes gender identities and takes away rights from students accused of sexual misconduct. He’s all like, Biden is attempting to impose his agenda on us forcefully, but we refuse to accept it! This Title IX overhaul is bringing some wild ideas like boys being allowed in girls’ bathrooms, mandatory use of preferred pronouns, and letting men snatch up scholarships meant for the gals. Harrison is all about Texas standing tall and managing their issues without Uncle Sam meddling in our affairs.

Harrison is so worked up about this whole situation that he’s asking the Texas legislature to devise a plan to slowly back away from relying on federal education funds. He wants to ensure that Texas can handle its own education system without following all these excessive federal regulations that suffocate. He’s looking at every single angle of how Texas gets federal funds for education and figuring out how to go it alone without the feds.

Harrison is all about Texas being its own boss and not letting the federal government push it around. He’s calling for Texas to take a stand and stop bowing down to the supreme authority of the federal government. Simply put, he wants Texas to be accessible and do things its way without the feds telling them what to do. Can you blame the guy?
