The El Paso Mayor, Oscar Leeser stated that local data shows that around 1000 illegal immigrants arrive at the border daily, leading to projections of 10,000 -12,000 immigrants seeking asylum on May 11th. The situation ought to be taken seriously, and President Biden has already authorized the deployment of 1,500 troops to the southern border. The troops will relieve U.S Customs and Border Patrol by performing administrative and transportation duties for 90 days.
