Biden Administration Using YOUR Tax Dollars to Fund Nonprofits for Illegal Immigrants

In another stunning example of big government hypocrisy, it has been revealed that the Biden Administration is using taxpayers’ dollars to fund nonprofits that help illegal immigrants. While the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) claims that the U.S. government does not provide aid or financial support for noncitizens, the reality is that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) runs the Emergency Food and Shelter program, which provides tens of millions of dollars each year to fund nongovernmental groups helping migrants.

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott testified to Congress this week, highlighting that the U.S. government is using taxpayer dollars to aid illegal immigrants, calling the program “basically money being laundered to the NGOs.” It is quite disappointing that CBP, whose personnel exhibit the highest level of integrity, is trying to spin the truth in favor of the liberal agenda.

As highlighted on FEMA’s website, there is a specific page dedicated to “funds for organizations assisting migrants,” which includes $350 million in already used funds in fiscal year 2023. Additionally, between fiscal 2019 and 2022, over $300 million was provided to organizations helping migrants.

While the Emergency Food and Shelter program is meant to provide aid to natural disasters, it appears it is being used to assist those who have entered the country illegally. Nonprofit organizations such as the United Way, American Red Cross, Catholic Charities USA, The Jewish Federations of North America, National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA, The Salvation Army and United Way Worldwide are all leading FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter program and receiving funding to aid illegal immigrants.

Aside from FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security coordinates and funds nonprofit organizations that help illegal migrants. According to the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter Program provided more than $282 million in humanitarian relief grant funding to nonprofit and governmental organizations who provide services to noncitizens.

It is quite evident that the Biden Administration is putting its liberal political agenda above the taxpayers’ will. American citizens expect their tax dollars to help their communities, not to fund programs for illegal immigrants who broke the law to enter their country. Until stricter policies are put in place, these programs will only further incentivize those who are looking to exploit the U.S. immigration system rather than those looking to enter their country legally.
