In a stunning display of incompetence by the Biden administration, the State Department has finally realized that American lives are on the line in Haiti and they need to do something about it. With gangs running amok and shutting down international airports, it’s a wonder it took them this long to come up with a plan.
The State Department announced that they’ll be organizing chartered flights to evacuate Americans with a shred of common sense out of Haiti. They specifically mentioned that the travel to Cap-Haitien, where the flights will depart from, is at the traveler’s own risk. Well no duh! You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out when gangs are taking over entire neighborhoods and causing chaos.

And get this – the gangs are even storming towns and breaking prisoners out of jails to protest against the Prime Minister. It’s like a bad action movie, but sadly, it’s the sad reality in Haiti. The most powerful gang leader, Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier, has even threatened a civil war if the Prime Minister doesn’t step down. Talk about a hot mess.
Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) was apparently fed up with the Biden administration’s sluggish response, so he took matters into his own hands and rescued a group of Americans himself. This isn’t the first time he’s had to step in where the Biden administration dropped the ball – he also managed to get Americans out of Israel and Afghanistan before they could even blink.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was off gallivanting in Jamaica, discussing “solutions” with Caribbean leaders. How about focusing on the crisis at hand in Haiti, Mr. Blinken? It’s clear that the Biden administration is more interested in diplomatic chit-chat than actually taking swift and decisive action to protect American lives.
It’s high time the Biden administration stops bumbling around and starts prioritizing the safety of American citizens. Maybe then they wouldn’t constantly need heroes like Rep. Cory Mills to swoop in and save the day. But hey, at least the Biden administration is consistent – consistently failing, that is.
