President Joe Biden celebrated his 81st birthday in classic Biden fashion. After pardoning turkeys, mixing up Taylor Swift and Britney Spears, and making a hilarious joke about running out of space for candles, Biden posed with a cake covered in 81 lit candles. It was a sight to behold, with the candles blazing like the White House during the British attack in 1814. Biden shared the photo on his Instagram account, and it didn’t take long for it to go viral.

But of course, the liberals on X (formerly known as Twitter) couldn’t just appreciate the humor. No, they had to make it political. They compared the birthday cake inferno to the disastrous effects of Biden and the Democrats’ policies. From defunding the police to economic instability to weak foreign relations, they blamed it all on Biden. And honestly, can you blame them?
This incident perfectly encapsulates Biden’s presidency so far. He and his administration constantly assure us that “everything’s fine,” even when it’s clearly not. Remember when they said inflation was just temporary? Or when they insisted that Afghanistan was under control? And let’s not forget their brilliant plan of diplomacy to keep Russia from invading Ukraine. It’s all one big joke, and Biden is the punchline.
But while Biden gets to pretend like everything is hunky-dory, the rest of us are left dealing with the consequences. He sits at the table, holding on for dear life, while the country burns. And just like his birthday cake, America and the world are going up in flames.
Oh, and by the way, Biden’s birthday celebration isn’t over yet. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced that he’ll be having another cake, a coconut one, in Nantucket. Because nothing says “I’m in touch with the American people” like vacationing on a wealthy island while the rest of us suffer. Happy birthday, indeed.
