Biden’s Policies Spark Border Crisis with 17M Illegal Immigrants Flooding into US

President Joe Biden’s immigration policies are creating a crisis at the border, as a staggering 17 million aliens have entered the country since he took office. The left’s response is to exacerbate the situation further. A newly leaked Border Patrol memo reveals that agents are instructed to release illegal immigrants captured at the San Diego corridor into the United States and categorize them as “hard” or “very hard” to deport. This memo applies to illegal adult immigrants from most countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, allowing them to be released into the U.S. under the classification NTA/OR, which stands for Notice to Appear/released on Own Recognizance. However, this memo makes an exception for immigrants from only six countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, classifying them as “mandatory referral” countries.

Despite the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and President Biden’s vows to take action against migrants crossing the border illegally, the overwhelming majority of migrants in the San Diego sector are being released into the U.S. Given that there are more than 100 countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, it is evident that the situation at the border continues to worsen under the Biden administration’s leadership.

This memo emerges shortly after President Biden signed an executive order to address the issue of mass illegal immigration. However, critics argue that this executive order is merely a symbolic gesture. The Biden administration faces challenges with several countries refusing to repatriate their citizens after deportation, with China being a prominent example. The lack of cooperation from these “recalcitrant” countries has led to frustration among DHS officials as they seek to deter illegal immigration.

Biden’s measure also stipulates that Border Patrol agents should turn away asylum seekers once daily apprehensions reach 2,500. However, this rule does not apply to legal immigrants, unaccompanied minors, or individuals identified as “victims of severe forms of trafficking,” nor does it apply to those who have already applied for an appointment using the CBP One app.
