If you thought it was strange that someone with actual brain disability was elected, then hold onto your hats because things are about to get even worse. Democrats are all-in on the Pennsylvania senator-to-be John Fetterman.
Democrats who were content and at peace were everywhere on MSNBC election night, including MSNBC host Katy Tur. Tur pondered aloud whether Fetterman would have a future in the White House given his performance in the Democratic-leaning regions of Pennsylvania as she leaned back with her arms folded and a cheeky grin on her face.
Tur began, "Fetterman as a nominee for President at some point." Naturally,“ I know there are some variables, obviously.”
“What he did in the super-red, deep-red parts of Pennsylvania, and the way that he ran ahead of Biden as we were saying, and the way that he ran ahead of Trump, I mean, it makes you wonder about his future.”
To be clear, Fetterman has absolutely no business holding public office. He recently had a stroke, and you can see the effects it has had on him. He struggles to stay on topic and frequently says strange things as a result. He doesn't sound like someone who has it together; rather like a babbling toddler with a grown man's voice.

Bottom line: We are not choosing Fetterman's aid because he lacks the composure to manage his office without it. None of those individuals answer to us, the citizens, and are chosen by other external forces, giving one guy the authority of the people.
If you're an authoritarian with lofty plans for a more authoritarian state, you salivate at the thought of a man getting elected who is incapable of managing his own office because it offers you the opportunity to step in and manage it covertly. Although it may sound a little conspiratorial, this is the logical reality. It won't be Fetterman running his office. He lacks the mental power to accomplish that. Others will have to complete the task on his behalf, and they are exempt from accountability to you.
In the future, a Fetterman run for office wouldn't surprise me. Democrats have chose a candidate for the White House who, due to cognitive decline, has no business holding the position. It is therefore not unreasonable to assume that they would consider Fetterman as a candidate.
If they do, be aware that what you're really thinking about is installing a group of people who support Fetterman in power when you see him.
