In a bold move to protect Second Amendment rights, House Republicans passed a bill to end Biden’s administration’s ban on pistol stabilizing braces. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) previously indicated it was reclassifying handguns with stabilizing braces as short barreled rifles, putting law-abiding citizens in danger of facing prison sentences of up to 10 years for failure to register their weapons.
Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde and North Carolina Rep. Richard Hudson spearheaded the bill to reverse the ATF’s decision. Rep. Clyde expressed his delight at the bill’s passage while also condemning the Biden administration’s “latest tyrannical tactic.” Meanwhile, Rep. Hudson tweeted that Americans were sick of unelected bureaucrats passing new laws that curbed their constitutional rights.
In a press release, Rep. Hudson added that the latest regulation by President Biden’s ATF had turned millions of combat-wounded veterans and law-abiding citizens into felons overnight. He also reminded readers how pistol braces were initially developed to assist wounded veterans in exercising their Second Amendment rights.
Americans are tired of unelected bureaucrats making up new laws that infringe on their constitutional rights, and I want to thank @Rep_Clyde for partnering with me to lead H.J. Res. 44—with bipartisan support—through the House. #2A

Arizona Rep. Eli Crane took to Twitter to express his appreciation for the opportunity to work alongside Reps. Clyde and Hudson in a bid to safeguard the constitutional rights of Americans. He also accused the White House of weaponizing the ATF against Americans, thereby showing a blatant disregard for the Constitution.
BREAKING: The House just PASSED my resolution to strike down the ATF’s unconstitutional pistol brace rule with bipartisan support.
This is a MAJOR WIN for service-disabled veterans in their fight against the Biden Administration’s latest tyrannical tactic.

Unlike the Democrats, who are continually seeking ways to limit Americans’ access to firearms, Republicans are always looking for ways to protect and preserve Second Amendment rights. They understand that the Second Amendment is a vital safeguard against tyranny, ensuring that Americans have the power to defend themselves, their property, and their loved ones. It’s high time Democrats understood this too.
