Poll Shows Trump Leading Biden in 2024 Georgia Matchup, Trusted More on Key Issues

According to a recent poll by Quinnipiac University, it looks like former President Donald Trump may be gaining support for the 2024 election in Georgia. The poll shows that in a head-to-head matchup with President Joe Biden, Trump leads by five percentage points. Even when other candidates are included in the race, Trump still comes out ahead. This is seen as a positive sign for Trump, especially considering the politically motivated charges brought against him.

The poll also asked respondents about the impact of Trump’s recent conviction on their voting decisions. Among Republicans, the overwhelming majority disagreed with the verdict, while Democrats largely agreed with it. Independents were more divided on the matter. Despite the guilty verdict, Trump appears to have a significant advantage in the 2024 race in Georgia.

Interestingly, the poll also found that Trump is trusted more than Biden on key issues facing the country, such as the Ukraine war, the Israel-Hamas conflict, immigration, and the economy. A majority of respondents believe that Trump would do a better job handling these important issues.

It’s important to note that Georgia was won by Biden in the 2020 election, so Trump’s lead in the poll is a significant development. The results of this poll suggest that Trump’s popularity and support remain strong in this crucial battleground state, setting the stage for a potentially competitive 2024 election.
