Speculation is flying around about the possibility of former President Donald Trump crashing the next Republican primary debate, and boy, oh boy, would that be a sight to see! The event is set to be co-moderated by none other than former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, the same lady that Trump has had some epic showdowns with in the past. Can you say drama alert?
Despite being the big kahuna in the polls, Trump gave the cold shoulder to the first three GOP debates. However, here comes the plot twist: TMZ dropped a bombshell report claiming that Secret Service agents scoped out the location of the upcoming debate, which is all set to go down in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on December 6th. And who else but Trump, the only Republican candidate with Secret Service protection, would need such high-level security?
Now, after the last debate, a Trump campaign advisor said the former president wouldn’t grace the stage in Alabama, calling it an “interview to be the first-place loser” with a lineup boasting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott. But hold your horses, folks, because TMZ’s bombshell scoop is fueling major buzz that Trump might just make a grand entrance after all.

And if Trump does decide to jump into the ring, brace yourselves for round two of the Trump vs. Kelly showdown. Remember back in 2015 when they went head to head in the 2016 GOP primary season’s first debate? Oh, the sparks flew when Kelly brought up Trump’s comments on women! A feud for the ages, I tell ya! Fast forward to 2023, Trump sat down for an interview with Kelly that got pretty tense at times, and then he took a jab at her during a campaign rally, calling her “nasty.” Can you imagine the tension if they lock horns once again?
But wait, there’s more! Kelly will be joined by NewsNation anchor Elizabeth Vargas and Eliana Johnson, editor-in-chief of The Washington Free Beacon, as co-moderators for the debate. The stage is set for an epic showdown, folks, and it looks like it’s going to be one for the history books!
