Biden Faces Impeachment? Dershowitz Says Evidence Exists

Renowned legal expert and emeritus professor Alan Dershowitz revealed on Sunday that there is “more than enough” evidence to begin an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden for his alleged involvement in a $5 million bribery conspiracy linked to Ukrainian business interests. This revelation comes after the FBI handed over a document to Congress last week that allegedly implicates then-Vice President Biden in bribery, following Chinese companies making indirect payments to the Biden family.

During an interview on Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM Patriot 125, Dershowitz expressed that House Republicans have every right to investigate Biden for extortion, as bribery is an explicitly impeachable offense in the Constitution. He shared that although the evidence that the House has seen so far is not enough to establish probable cause to indict, it is more than enough to start an investigation.

Dershowitz also expressed his opinions on former President Donald Trump’s indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents. He noted that while Trump’s indictment is serious, it doesn’t fall under the “Richard Nixon standard” or the “Hillary Clinton standard.” He argued that Clinton was not investigated despite destroying classified information, and Nixon was almost certainly guilty of destroying evidence, bribing witnesses, and other acts of obstruction.

The acclaimed professor also discussed the tit-for-tat nature of politics when it comes to impeachment and criminal justice. He urged for mutual disarmament but added that unilateral disarmament is not a feasible option. When one party weaponizes the impeachment process and the criminal justice system, it is inevitable that the other side will do the same.

In conclusion, Dershowitz’s statements on the Biden bribery allegations shed light on the consequences that arise when politicians choose to engage in corrupt activities. Moreover, his views on Trump’s indictment reiterate the double standards that exist in American politics. It is only fair to hold politicians accountable for their wrongdoings regardless of their party affiliation.
