In an unprecedented move, Joe Biden went on the defensive, throwing a temper tantrum at the press and the Justice Department over their report on his reckless mishandling of classified information. The good news for him is that he narrowly escaped being indicted because, well, let’s face it, he’s seen as too frail, old, and senile to be held accountable. Not exactly a winning re-election campaign slogan, is it? The damage to his political clout may be beyond repair, especially with a recent ABC News poll showing a whopping 86 percent of Americans agreeing that Biden is too old for the job.

Of course, the responses to Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report were as predictable as the sun rising in the east. The Democrats and their allies in the liberal media wasted no time in crying foul, branding Hur as a partisan hack for including details about Biden’s shoddy memory, including forgetting when his son died and his time as vice president. These are just excuses one might use to avoid punishment, not reasons to let Biden off the hook. Hur was simply following protocol, according to Andrew McCarthy, a former assistant US Attorney. But of course, the left can’t handle the truth when it doesn’t fit their narrative.
But hold on to your hats, because it gets even juicier. Biden’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer, who happens to be married to Anita Dunn, a senior communications adviser to Biden, went on CBS’ Face the Nation and refused to commit to releasing the audio tapes and transcripts from Biden’s interview with Hur. What could they be trying to hide? The White House has always had a knack for bungling things up, and this is no exception. The American people deserve to know the whole truth—unless, of course, it’s damaging to the Biden administration.
So, what’s the deal, Bob? If there’s nothing to hide and Biden’s mental faculties are in tip-top shape, then the transcripts and tapes should confirm that, right? The Justice Department can release those materials after a security review, so why not just get it over with? Maybe the congressional Republicans should apply some pressure in that direction. Let’s see all the files. If Biden is as sharp as a tack, then these supplementary materials should put that theory to rest. It’s time for Team Biden to put their money where their mouth is and stop hiding behind weak excuses. Let’s see those transcriptions, Bob, and tell your wife we’re eagerly waiting for those audio files too.
