Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democratic presidential candidate, is calling for even more states to follow the example of twenty-one states by banning biological men who identify as ‘transgender females’ from partaking in women’s and girls’ sports. This action comes from the realization that women have worked too hard over the past 30 years to establish women’s sports, and it is only fair that they have the chance to compete against their peers.

But RFK Jr.’s view contrasts with the current President, Joe Biden, who seems to be in favor of biological men joining female sports teams. Even though The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act passed in the House, Biden has shown opposition towards it. Furthermore, another Democrat in the Senate declined unanimous consent to pass similar legislation, opposing Senator Tommy Tuberville’s arguments that this legislation is needed to allow girls and women to get the same sporting opportunities as men, thanks to Title IX.

Over the weekend, Democrats in the Colorado House of Representatives voted against a bill that would have made it a felony to commit “indecent exposure” with a minor. The bill included prohibiting sexual acts with children.
The Colorado General Assembly is trying to pass HB23-1135, which reclassifies indecent exposure with a minor as a class 6 felony. However, Democrats blocked this bill, with arguments that it was biased against drag shows and transgender individuals. Furthermore, they claimed that bills with similar language were used to target members of their community.
RFK Jr. reiterated his belief that all U.S. citizens need to put aside their political affiliations and remember that they must prioritize their identity as Americans. The values they share come before anything that could divide them, and the future of the country depends on everyone recognizing that. Let all Americans unite to uphold the sanctity of women’s sports and protect children from abuse.
