Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat who represents Massachusetts, has asserted that pro-life pregnancy resource centers “torture” the people they serve by providing them with free infant formula, clothing, and ultrasounds, among other things. Warren’s accusation comes in response to a statement that Warren made.
“We need to shut them down here in Massachusetts, and we need to shut them down all around the country. You should not be able to torture a pregnant person like that,” she said.
Warren: “Crisis pregnancy centers that are there to fool people looking for pregnancy termination help outnumber abortion clinics by 3-1. We need to shut them down all around the country.”

Warren made these comments at a time when there has been an alarming rise in the number of incidents of vandalism and arson directed toward pregnancy centers. At least 92 acts of violence have been committed over the course of the past two months against these pro-life activities, which include churches and other centers. These incidents have taken place across the country.
Conservatives attacked Warren, claiming that she was responsible for escalating the level of violence in the world.
