In yet another attempt to appease the leftist progressive agenda, the State Department has introduced a mandatory policy forcing employees to attach gender pronouns, including “She/Her/Hers” or “He/Him/His,” to their email signatures. However, the push for gender inclusion has backfired, causing a “pronoun glitch” that instead misrepresents the genders of employees.
A recent confrontation between Associated Press reporter Matt Lee and State Department deputy spokesman Vedant Patel has revealed the absurdity of this ill-conceived policy. Lee criticized the mandatory pronoun assignment, which is not an optional choice for employees and can lead to wrongful identification, as a violation of their freedom and rights. Patel, somewhat clueless about the issue, struggled to defend his department’s sudden enforcement of this policy.
The unplanned pronoun addition comes right off the heels of the State Department celebrating “Interphobia Awareness Day” and other woke programs designed to promote gender inclusivity. As progressives push their agenda on the Department, the State Department has focused on pronouns and LGBTQ+ issues rather than the effectiveness and professionalism of its employees.

Planned Parenthood, in its typical ridiculous fashion, defines interphobia as prejudice towards those who do not follow the “male/female binary”. It is yet another example of the insanity associated with the Biden administration and its harmful social agenda. This new pronoun policy only promotes division and confusion among employees, detracting from more important matters and potentially even risking national security.
It is high time that the State Department moves away from this woke culture and instead focuses on the professional experience and skills of its staff. Rather than blindly following the liberal agenda, the Biden administration and its policies should focus on preserving American interests and values.
