Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon has called for Republicans to rally behind former President Trump in light of new revelations from Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA). On Monday’s episode of War Room: Pandemic, Bannon declared that “we’re going on offense” after Grassley revealed that an executive at Ukrainian gas giant Burisma has audio recordings of conversations between then-Vice President Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and himself. Speaking on the Senate floor, Grassley revealed that there were allegedly seventeen recordings in total, and referenced FBI Form 1023 which contains “two audio recordings of phone calls between him and then-Vice President Joe Biden.”
The House Republicans have claimed that Joe Biden received $5 million in exchange for getting Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired who was investigating Burisma. Reacting to this information, Steve Bannon called on conservatives to support President Trump and claimed that the timing of the indictment against Trump is now clear. Bannon stated, “And this is why we’re not gonna spend a-lot of time going through every perturbation because it doesn’t matter. It just matters that you stand with President Trump now. And we’re going on offense. Ok? We’re being fed stuff all the time from what’s happening on Capitol Hill, and I’m telling you; there’s high crimes and misdemeanors.”
The new revelations have surfaced just hours after U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) filed articles of impeachment against both President Biden and Vice President Harris. In the articles, Ogles accused Biden of using the Department of Justice to cover up his own alleged criminal activity and weaponizing it against then-President Trump.
