As is customary for the annual Thanksgiving celebration held at the White House, Vice President Joe Biden on Monday granted a pardon to two turkeys.
Both "Chocolate" and "Chip," two turkeys from North Carolina, were granted presidential pardons. Coincidentally, the names "Chocolate" and "Chip" refer to Joe Biden's preferred flavour of ice cream.
Biden has stated that “Chocolate is my favourite ice cream,”

Biden questioned Ronnie Parker, the chairman of the National Turkey Federation, over the number of turkeys that are bred on the North Carolina farm.
“9.5 million turkeys! I tell ya what, that’s like some of the countries I’ve been to and they — anyway…” In yet another uncomfortable discussion, Biden stated.
After that, Biden turned to the turkey and asked, "You want to talk?"
