Pence’s Slump in Polls: Fails to Stand Against Wokeness, Feuds with DeSantis

Mike Pence's chances of running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 are not looking good, as his polling numbers are incredibly low. He launched a series of attacks against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has been feuding with Disney.

It is not clear why Pence suddenly switched to corporatism, given his prior record and how he wilted under the pressure from corporate America during the religious freedom debate in 2015. His response to the removal of Disney's control over Reedy Creek is also questionable.

In a move aimed at ending Disney's control over a 25,000-acre area in Florida, DeSantis used his power to remove the company's privileges. For decades, the company was able to effectively run its operations in the state through various special privileges.

According to reports, Disney tried to fight the state over the education act by aligning itself with left-wing groups and Democrats.

DeSantis went hardball in response, which resulted in Pence criticizing his approach.

It's clear that Pence is trying to make a comeback with the corporate America that he once disdained. Due to the political climate, it's no longer possible for the Republican Party to go back to the days when it played nice with the left.

The next Republican presidential nominee has to be willing to go the distance in order to fight against the Democratic party's worst elements. Doing so would allow the party to protect its values and lead the country in a more positive direction.

The attacks on DeSantis by Pence may have backfired, as it shows that he is not capable of leading the country and standing up to wokeness.
