Democrats are hoping that the latest slew of charges against Trump will finally keep him out of the White House. But they’re in for a rude awakening. Despite being convicted on 34 felony charges, Trump can still run for office—and there’s nothing they can do about it.
First off, the U.S. Constitution doesn’t bar convicted felons from running for president. There’s no clause stating that a criminal record disqualifies someone from the highest office in the land. As long as you’re a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and have lived in the country for 14 years, you’re eligible. This means Trump’s legal battles can’t prevent him from appearing on the ballot.
Furthermore, the American people have the ultimate say in who they want as their leader. Our democratic system is built on the principle of voters choosing their representatives, and that includes the president. If Trump’s supporters want him back in the Oval Office, they’ll show up at the polls and make it happen. The left can huff and puff all they want, but they can’t blow away the will of the people.

While Trump isn’t in prison (and likely won’t be anytime soon), this historical precedent shows that Americans are willing to support a candidate who speaks to their values, regardless of legal entanglements.

His message of putting America first resonates deeply with many citizens who are tired of the status quo and the endless political games in Washington.
